The daughter of a Martinez man found shot to death in his home has been implicated in the slaying, police said Monday.
Paul Fletcher, 59, of Martinez was found in his residence on the 4600 block of Pacheco Road, just west of Interstate 680, at about 12:45 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.
Fletcher's daughter, Christina Fletcher, 25, who lives in Emeryville and Martinez, has been identified as a suspect, said Martinez police Cmdr. Gary Peterson.
Christina Fletcher is being treated at an undisclosed Bay Area hospital, said Peterson, who declined to elaborate because of medical confidentiality laws. She has not been arrested but is not free to leave the hospital, Peterson said.
Police declined to discuss a motive in the slaying pending a review of the case by Contra Costa County prosecutors.

Car crashes into home after high-speed pursuit
A group of teenagers suspected of breaking into a Morgan Hill building to steal alcohol led police on a high-speed pursuit that ended when an 18-year-old suspected drunk driver lost control of the car and crashed into a home.
After the Chrysler Sebring soared about 90 feet through the air and crashed, the male driver and a 17-year-old boy became trapped inside, according to police. As the teens cried out for help, the car caught fire and officers quickly pulled them to safety, according to police.
The residents of the home were not injured, according to police. The 18-year-old driver suffered multiple injuries and was arrested by police.
Two other juveniles took off on foot after the crash, according to police.
The chase began around 11:20 p.m. Saturday on the campus of the De Paul Health Center when a security officer spotted a group of people breaking into a portable building on the northwest portion of the complex, a space occupied by the Knights of Columbus, according to police. The teens forced their way into the portable in an effort to get alcohol, according to police.
"Somehow they must have known there was alcohol in there," said Sgt. Jerry Neumayer, a police spokesman.
As officers arrived to the scene, the teens jumped into a Chrysler Sebring, fled east on Cochrane Road and turned west onto Main Avenue, reaching speeds up to 90 mph, according to police. As the teens approached the intersection of Main Avenue andAdvertisement
Butterfield Boulevard, the driver lost control and slammed into the concrete center divide, sending the Chrysler about 90 feet through the air. The car smashed into a light pole before crashing into a home at 55 E. Main Ave.
Five officers surrounded the car with their guns drawn, Neumayer said.
"Are they fleeing because they're violent felons? We have no idea," he said. "That's why they performed a high-risk stop."
The situation turned into a rescue effort once the car caught fire, Neumayer said. As some officers pulled the teens to safety others began knocking down the blaze with fire extinguishers.
Police arrested the driver, Dylan Campos of Gilroy, on suspicion of burglary, felony evasion and felony DUI, Neumayer said. Campos suffered after a fractured pelvis, a dislocated right hip, a fractured right leg and a fractured jaw and was admitted into intensive care at a San Jose hospital, according to police.
The 17-year-old male passenger sustained a broken right leg and was treated and released to his parents pending criminal charges, according to police.
